Getting There
The easiest way to get to Hotel Diego de Almagro Arica is by car or taxi. It is about a 15-20 minute drive from Chacalluta International Airport (ARI) to the hotel. Taxis are always available at the airport, and several pre-booked shuttle services (such as Transfer Arica) provide reliable fixed transfers directly to the hotel for arriving travelers.
For those driving, finding the hotel is the easiest task. It is directly on the main coastal highway,-Raul Pey Casado, today considered a part of the Pan-American Highway system. It has a huge free secure parking lot as an added advantage for road trippers or people exploring Chile's far north by vehicle, making it their perfect base.
For travelers coming into Arica by long-distance bus, the main Arica bus terminal (Terminal Rodoviario) is right in the middle of town. From the bus terminal, it’s best to take a taxi to your hotel -about 10-15 minutes away-. While local micros do travel along the main roads, a taxi will be much more comfortable and convenient, particularly if you have luggage.
